Manil Gupta is a multi-media artist whose work currently deals with the overwhelming paradoxes of life. His canvases and mixed-media work deals with issues of life, death, joy, pain and the slaughter of animalsówhich has become a justifiable and an easy ëact of killingí. Guptaís work addresses the fact that mankind is constantly trying to play god. While the issues he deals with are profound he experiments with various popish expressions. He continuously identifies with the concept of existence but never with death. He throws out the question, what is manís position in a natureís overall variety of existence? Gupta who was born in Meerut and came to Delhi to study at the College of art. He has been part of various exhibitions at Palette Art Gallery, in Delhi, Gallery Nvya and Stainless Gallery. He has shown his work at the India Art Fair and Dubai to name a few.
