Ashwini Pai Bahadur is a leading advisor in fine arts, revered for her multifaceted expertise and unwavering commitment to nurturing cultural heritage and artistic expression. With over two decades of experience within the South Asian arts ecosystem, she is a beacon of guidance and innovation. As an independent fine arts strategic advisor, purveyor, and specialist in arts procurement, Ashwini has curated a distinguished career path, marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence. Her journey is enriched by hands-on experience, complemented by courses in Curation from Sotheby's Institute New York and the National Museum Institute Delhi.
With a passion for advocacy and heritage preservation, Ashwini has lent her editorial acumen to publications like INTACH, leveraging the power of the written word to champion the cause of culture. Her illustrious career spans engagements with the Times of India, the British Council, and Lalit Kala Akademi, each contributing to her holistic understanding of the arts landscape.
Until recently, Ashwini Pai Bahadur served as the Director of The Partition Museum Delhi, further enriching her career with experience in preserving and commemorating historical narratives. Currently, she is the Director of Artspeaks India, an arts and cultural advisory, and of The Glass Makers Club, South Asia's first-ever forum dedicated to promoting studio art glass and exploring its diverse possibilities. Additionally, she acts as Co-Chair of the CII-IWN Delhi Arts & Culture Committee, where she plays a vital role in enhancing their arts programming.
Through Artspeaks India Outreach, Ashwini Pai Bahadur has engaged in initiatives aimed at supporting folk artisans, assisting them in improving their livelihood prospects through upskilling and revenue generation. She has also been instrumental in raising awareness about art therapy and providing assistance to orphanages during the pandemic. Collaborating with organizations such as the Delhi Council of Child Welfare, Spreading Smiles, BG Foundation, Dhara Shakti Foundation, Bhajan Foundation, Arts for All, and Creative Dignity, among others, she has made significant contributions to empowering communities and promoting a culture of compassion and resilience.
